We believe that the church is the place where we can share with true brotherly love, worship together, learn from the Word of God, use our gifts to serve the Lord, and support each person to have a legitimate relationship with Jesus.
We are ordinary people who acknowledge their condition as sinners, but who also believe that we have been forgiven, loved and accepted by God through our faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus. We have been born again and now the Holy Spirit dwells in us, enabling us to preach the Gospel to all nations; until our Savior’s return.
We are a community of love, hope and faith; we are friends, we are family and we want to share all this with you!

Founded in 2010 in San José, Costa Rica, Iglesia El Olivo was born. The congregation begins when some members of a small ministry that was ending, guided by the Holy Spirit, decided to come together under a new vision.
At that time, the members of the church were mostly young, but they were characterized by their immense love and commitment to Jesus Following the Bible, the congregation defines a pastoral staff (elders) as the government, all of them serving ad-honorem.
Over the years, the faith community begins to grow in number and spiritual maturity. Due to this, in 2016 it was decided to remodel the main temple, in order to double the capacity of the gatherings. In 2019, the elders appoint a dedicated senior pastor, to take on the new challenges.
Then, in 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic accelerates the need to digitize the services of the congregation through social media, which is assumed. Therefore, this leads the ministry to move to a new building in order to increase the physical capacity of its face-to-face services, in 2021.
Today, El Olivo continues to grow as a Christocentric, modern, creative, intentional congregation, and above all, committed to The Gospel.
