What is the Gospel?
The Gospel is the Good News of God’s grace that ends the darkness of this world. t is the grand narrative of God creation, fall, redemption, and consummation executed through the life, death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ. The crucifixion of Christ is the heart of the Gospel. His resurrection is the power of the gospel. His ascension is the glory of the Gospel.
Christ’s death is a substitute and propitiatory sacrifice to God for our sins. It satisfies the demands of God’s holy justice and appeases His holy wrath. It also demonstrates his immense love and reveals his amazing grace. Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and men. There is no other name by which men can be saved. At the heart of all doctrine there is the cross of Jesus Christ and the privilege that the redeemed sinners have, just to give glory to God for what He did. Therefore, we seek that everything that happens in our hearts, families, churches, and ministries proceeds and is related to the gospel.
Fundamental Doctrines
The fundamental doctrines are the biblical truths that function as the backbone of the beliefs and teachings of the church.
We believe in one God eternally existing in a trinity: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, each being fully God, but being one God
We believe that God created everything out of nothing and rules over all things in all times and in all places.
We believe that God has made Himself known to the world in Jesus Christ, the Holy Scriptures and creation.
We believe that all mankind was created in the image of God and willingly rejected the Lordship and Glory of the God.
We believe that sin has corrupted all things and gives birth to death or separation from God, leaving the world in total need of salvation.
We believe that Salvation is given by grace only through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.
We believe, the Church is the body of Christ sent to make disciples of Christ to the Nations.
We believe Jesus Christ will return to the world to reign and judge the living and the dead.

Theological Differences
The following are the theological positions that we believe and practice at the El Olivo church, these differentiate us from other congregations. However, we understand that these positions cannot divide us as the Church of Christ, that we share the same fundamental doctrine.
